Aston Villa enter race for Georgiy Sudakov

Aston Villa seem ready to battle Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool in the race for the services of Shakhtar Donetsk star Georgiy Sudakov.

According to a report from CaughtOffside, Aston Villa have entered the race for the services of Georgiy Sudakov. The Ukrainian international has made quite a name for himself with his impressive performances and he now finds himself on the wishlist of some of the biggest clubs in the Premier League.

Sudakov has come up the ranks at Shakhtar. He got promoted to their first team at the start of 2021 and hasn’t looked back since. The 22-year-old attacking midfielder has 47 goal contributions in his 111 appearances for their first team.

Last season, he contributed towards 16 goals and has already scored seven and bagged two assists in just 10 outings this season. His red form hasn’t gone unnoticed and multiple top clubs are keen on signing him.

He penned a new deal at the start of the year which secures his future at the club until the end of 2028. While Shakhtar won’t mind sanctioning his sale, they will demand at least €65 million for their star playe

Chelsea are one of the interested clubs. While signing Mykhailo Mudryk from the Ukranian outfit for big money, hasn’t really gone according to plan. The Blues are still interested in trying their luck on Sudakov who is considered a huge prospect.

Apart from Enzo Maresca’s team, Liverpool and Arsenal have been scouting the 22-year-old attacking midfielder. Their representatives were in the stands to watch Sudakov against LNZ Cherkasy and Veres Rivne. The Reds want to add more quality to their midfield while Mikel Arteta’s team want to freshen things up with Jorginho and Thomas Partey in the final phase of their careers.

Unai Emery’s Aston Villa are ready to challenge the so-called big clubs in the race to Sudakov’s signature. While the youngster prefers playing as a number ten, he can feature on the left flank as well as in a deeper role. He seems to be a perfect fit for the Spanish manager who loves working with versatile players.
