Everton tipped to sign new full-back Elias Jelert after £7.5m transfer

This is despite the 21-year-old only joining Galatasaray from Copenhagen for £7.5million ahead of the 2024-25 season. On paper, it may not look like the Merseyside-based club are in need of a right-back, as they have Seamus Coleman, Nathan Patterson, Ashley Young and Roman Dixon in their ranks.

However, they could certainly benefit from signing Jelert, with Coleman and Young in their late 30s and Dixon still in the early stages of his career.Nathan Patterson must take this chance and become a regular for Everton

Patterson has struggled to make an impact since moving to Goodison Park so it’s important that he takes his injury return seriously.Should the Scotland international impress in his first few games back, the spot will be his to lose.
