Jahmai joined Celtic on loan from Manchester City
Brendan Rodgers made it clear in his presser last Friday that with Jahmai Simpson-Pusey joining on loan from Manchester City, Celtic have no plans to pursue another centre-back during this transfer window. Given Obert’s experience at left-back last season, he may be seen as a potential backup for Kieran Tierney, especially with Hayato Inamura not making the squad on flag day and suggestions he might go out on loan.
Meanwhile, Go Ahead Eagles will begin their Eredivisie campaign this evening against Fortuna Sittard without Jakob Breum, who continues to be linked with a move to the Scottish champions. Earlier this summer, Celtic saw a £1.5 million offer for the Danish winger turned down by Go Ahead Eagles, who have made it clear they will not consider letting him go for under £5 million.
Celtic manager has expressed full confidence on the player adding to it that he will booster the squad energy and he will be a major player to the team
Speaking on his move, the youngster expressed full joy and happiness on his move to Celtic and also promised the club and management of his best services.
