Leeds United target Mehdi Taremi is still missing from pre-season training with Inter Milan
Mehdi Taremi has been heavily linked with a move to Leeds, with Inter Milan keen to offload him before the end of the transfer window on September 1st.
Leeds are among the clubs who have made enquiries for him this summer, and the forward rejected a move to Brazil earlier in the transfer window.
West Ham, Fulham and Nottingham Forest have also shown an interest in the 33-year-old striker, but his future is yet to be sorted out.
He is not part of Inter’s plans, and according to Tutto Mercato, the forward has stayed away from the club’s pre-season preparations with their permission.
Taremi has not returned to the club’s training base this summer as the club and his representatives continue to seek a solution before the end of the window.
Leeds remain interested, and the striker wants to play in the Premier League next season.
However, so far, his representatives are yet to receive a concrete offer from Leeds or any of his Premier League suitors.
Leeds have intensified their striker search
The Whites have looked solid against Manchester United, Villarreal and AC Milan, but the lack of quality in the final third will bog them down if they do not bring in new players.
Leeds have stepped up their efforts to bring in a striker and are confident that Fulham will listen to offers for Rodrigo Muniz in the next couple of weeks.
They have also been tracking other strikers such as Everton’s Beto and Artem Dovbyk, who has not received any assurances from Roma manager Gian Piero Gasperini over his future this summer.
Leeds have intensified their search, and it remains to be seen whether they make a concrete offer for Taremi.
