BBC CONFIRMED:: FRANK LAMPARD NEWLY APPOINTED RANGERS MANAGER …

Police have released images of a Rangers fan they are looking to trace as part of an ongoing investigation into an assault at Ibrox earlier this month.

An investigation was launched following the clash between Rangers and Celtic on Thursday, January 2.

Cops say they are investigating an incident that occurred during the Scottish Premiership clash and have released two pictures of a man they would like to speak to. It’s believed the man may be able to help police with their inquiries into the incident.

The man is described as white and having short, dark hair. He was wearing a dark coloured jacket with a hood. In the CCTV image he is also wearing a blue Rangers scarf.

There were no away fans in the stadium for the clash due to the ongoing ticketing dispute between the two Glasgow clubs.

During the match Celtic star Arne Engels was struck by a coin sparking fury from his manager Brendan Rodgers following the match. The flashpoint saw the Belgian midfielder collapse to the ground before getting up and touching his face. It is not known if the appeal is linked to the coin incident.
