Rangers are reportedly pushing to loan in Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Bobby Clark before the end of the January window.
The 19-year-old left Liverpool behind last summer in a £6million move to Austria to work under former Anfield assistant manager Pep Lijnders – who has since been shown the door for Salburg during a disappointing campaign. Since the appointment of Thomas Letsch, the prospect has struggled for regular game time and has mainly been limited to appearances off the bench with clubs in Britain now said to be ramping up their interest.

DaveOCKOP report that Philippe Clement’s side are among the clubs chasing a temporary deal for the attacker. English Championship clubs Swansea City, Derby County and Hull City are also in the mix – but it remains a doubt if Salzburg will sanction a loan exit this month. One man who does look to be on the move is Rabbi Matondo – with the Light Blues keen to offload the struggling star.

It is claimed that Ansu Fati is the top target for the club with time ticking on deals. However, it is noted “Ajax’s scouting team is also particularly charmed” by Matondo and could make a move if they can’t reach an agreement with Barcelona for 22-year-old Fati.
Tom Lawrence is free to discuss an exit with clubs and pen a pre-contract agreement after entering the final six months of his Rangers deal. Besiktas have been named as an interest party and Fotospor report that a move could be made to bring the 31-year-old to the club before the end of the window as they look to “speed up” a deal.
