BREAKING NEWS: Since 2021 Newcastle united set to Release New takeover…
Newcastle United are finally in a good financial position after failing to make a noteworthy signing in the last three transfer windows.
The lack of signings is sure to have frustrated sporting director Paul Mitchell and Newcastle boss Eddie Howe as much as it frustrates the fans.
In January, Newcastle United sold Miguel Almiron and allowed defender Lloyd Kelly to leave on loan, despite only bringing him to the club the previous summer on a free transfer. Juventus are expected to make Kelly’s loan permanent if they qualify for Europe.
Earlier in March, Newcastle announced a £320m turnover from the previous financial year, which saw them continue their growth under the PIF and significantly lower their losses in comparison to the previous years in their ownership.
The positive accounts mean that Mitchell can recruit for Newcastle in the summer, with the plan to bring young players in for Howe to develop.
Newcastle are looking to improve multiple positions this summer, and a new report has now shared what style and profile of player the Magpies are looking to recruit to keep them consistently fighting for the European spots.
Newcastle United set to sign a new right-sided defender this summer
Earlier this week, a new report surfaced stating that Newcastle are looking to sign Jarell Quansah from Liverpool. The defender nearly joined Newcastle last summer while the club were trying to scramble together and balance the PSR blackhole they were in, which saw them sell Elliot Anderson and Yankuba Minteh.
Newcastle were so desperate to avoid a points deduction for the 2024/25 campaign that Anthony Gordon was offered to Liverpool in an attempt to claw themselves out of the hole they had dug in the years prior. Former owner Amanda Staveley left Newcastle in the fallout, but the 51-year-old has since made amends.
