Celtic stars react to Kyogo’s emotional Instagram farewell after Rennes switch

It has been a bit of a rollercoaster for Celtic fans in the past few days.
Brendan Rodgers’ transfer plans are coming together with Jota now back at Parkhead and a striker still the intention for the final week of the window.
Mathias Kvistgaarden remains a Celtic option while another target, Louie Barry, is set to move to Hull City on loan which sees Celts miss out after Unai Emery revealed Aston Villa’s plan for the attacker.
The club certainly needs a new forward with Kyogo leaving for Rennes this week in a deal worth around £10million to the Scottish Premiership leaders.
It makes the run up to the deadline on February 3 perhaps a tad nervy with Adam Idah the only recognised first-team striker albeit Johnny Kenny and Daizen Maeda are available if need be.

Kyogo sent Celtic fans a heartfelt message
Kyogo was confirmed by his new club this week with Celtic officially saying goodbye to their Japanese frontman.
And now the 30-year-old has broken his own silence on his exit with what is a heartfelt farewell to the support who have given the player plenty of memories to live with.
Of course, Kyogo has paid that back in kind but now he has said his goodbyes on Instagram and thanked punters for their love over the four years.

“I would like to thank each and every one of you for your unconditional support since I arrived in Scotland in 2021.
“In every training session and every match I tried with all my efforts to help this great club, and I hope that I helped create amazing memories for you as our team enjoyed great success together.
“I will never forget the Championships, the Old Firm(sic) victories or playing at Celtic Park on Champions League nights, and I wish Celtic only the best as I start a new chapter in my career.
“From the bottom of my heart, thank you again for your support”.
Nicolas Kuhn led goodbyes to Celtic hero Kyogo
Now-former teammates Nicolas Kuhn and Greg Taylor were among those to reply to Kyogo’s post.
The German shared a tear emoji as well as a love heart.
And left-back Taylor – who is yet to sign a new Parkhead contract himself – wrote: “Good luck Kyogo,” with a love heart emoji.
Alistair Johnston added: “All the best wee man,” while Joe Hart wished Kyogo luck with four leaf clover emojis.
Paulo Bernardo also offered emojis of encouragement for his pal.
