Leeds produced their highest margin of victory of the season in their final game of 2024 at Elland Road to ensure they go into Christmas sat in the Championship’s top two.In some extremely blustery conditions, the one moment of quality in the first half came courtesy of Manor Solomon and Dan James as the latter finished off a brilliant cross from the Israeli international.

 

Farke’s side then really took control of proceedings after the break as Jayden Bogle, Brenden Aaronson and Solomon then all got on the scoresheet in the space of 15 minutes.

 

This was just yet another game in which Leeds have completely dominated on home soil, with Oxford caretaker boss Craig Short hailing the Whites as the ‘best’ side in the division.

In the end, there were plenty of positives for Leeds to take but perhaps the biggest is the performance of Solomon.

 

Farke said Solomon’s cameo at Preston North End last weekend was his best in a Leeds shirt but today’s display against Oxford may just be his most complete yet.

 

It was his really sharp and incisive piece of play that set up James’ opener, bursting through a sliding challenge before putting it on an absolute plate with his weaker foot.Daniel Farke made good use of his squad in Leeds United’s comfortable 4-0 victory over Oxford.

 

The game at Elland Road marked the first of five in just 15 days for Leeds and so rotation is going to be key to come through it without any issues.easiest game of Leeds’ festive period and so one decision Farke opted to take was resting Pascal Struijk.

 

Struijk has been suffering with hamstring tightness this week and despite coming through Friday’s session unscathed, was named on the bench to avoid taking any risks.

 

Ethan Ampadu was brought in in his place, a good game and position for him to start for the first time since September.
