Daniel Farke could stun Leeds fans at 2pm by naming 8-appearance star in his XI to face Oxford UnitedSaturday’s game against Oxford United as a must-win. But it could also be a chance to give one or two lesser-seen players a run out.

Oxford United have just appointed Gary Rowett as manager for this game, though he’ll be watching from the stands at Elland Road on Saturday.Leeds United have been tipped to blow away Oxford who’ve won just one of their last 15 in the Championship and currently sit in 20th place of the table.

Bamford, 31, could be in the final stages of his Leeds United career, in what is his seventh season at Elland Road.

The striker has featured just eight times in the Championship this season and is yet to score, and yet to start a game in the league either.Wrexham and Genoa are interested in Bamford ahead of January. Farke though says that no Leeds transfer talks with take place until January 4th when clubs break for the FA Cup third round.

Bamford remains a very experienced Championship striker who also boasts a track record, with 60 goals in 196 games for Leeds, and 69 goals in 208 Championship outings.

But Wrexham fans aren’t keen on Bamford joining in January. They’ve let their opinions be heard on social media and they’re not impressed by Bamford’s fitness record, nor do they think his wages could be met at the club.

It’s long been though that Bamford is on a very high wage at Elland Road and that moving him on before his contract expires in 2026 will be very difficult.
