‘Disgrace’… Neil Warnock spotted something he really didn’t like after Leeds United’s win over Sunderland

There were incredible scenes at Elland Road on Monday night as Leeds United dramatically beat Sunderland.

Pascal Struijk’s header in the 78th minute, left the game with a grandstand finish as the Leeds defender did it once again in the final kick of the game.

He was the hero but Manor Solomon was a ‘standout’ in Leeds’ win and the Whites returned to the top of the tree in the Championship.

The Whites leapfrogged Sheffield United as Daniel Farke meets Chris Wilder next Monday in what could be an even more pivotal game in the promotion race.

It’s too difficult to call, and thankfully for Leeds, Stuart Atwell’s performance didn’t affect their night.

Atwell had a night to forget at Elland Road.

The referee wasn’t even meant to be involved in the game as Craig Pawson was set to referee Leeds vs Sunderland.

Whites fans might’ve wished it was Pawson, even though he is a Sheffield United fan, as Atwell denied Leeds a stonewall penalty.

Not only this but Neil Warnock spotted something else which the former Leeds boss branded ‘a disgrace’.

Farke was bizarrely yellow-carded after the game for his celebrations meaning he might not be in the dugout for the Sheffield United encounter, Warnock who was on the Sky Sports coverage of the game, was left perplexed at the decision.

“When you look at the referee at the end of the game, Farke celebrated, what harm is he doing there,?” Warnock said.

“What’s he doing reffing the game Atwell? Why don’t they have a Championship referee?

“To book Farke is a disgrace.”

Farke loss could be detrimental for Leeds against Sheffield United

Atwell might have just made a grave error in costing Leeds the Championship title.

Promotion is certainly looking like a possibility with the Whites 15 games unbeaten, but Farke will no doubt want the title after such a positive season.

Wilder is the king of mind games and to not even have Farke in the dugout could prove to be a massive loss to Leeds’ morale.

Nevertheless, the decision will potentially be reviewed so Leeds fans won’t have to give up hope yet, but Atwell should hang his head in shame.
