Everton continue to await developments on the takeover from the Friedkin Group, but it certainly seems as if they’re keeping busy at Roma right now.
The Toffees extended their unbeaten streak to three games with a win over Ipswich Town at the weekend, as well as claiming a welcome clean sheet.
Sean Dyche spoke about his future and the Friedkin Group’s takeover prior to the game, and he was true to his word as all he said he can do is keep getting the results on the field.
However, it wasn’t all smiles, as Dyche said his side need to work on scoring more goals after the amount of chances they had at the weekend.
Everton now turn their attention towards a clash with Fulham on Saturday.
The takeover is bubbling along nicely in the background, but it may be slightly delayed as it appears as if Dan Friedkin is currently occupied.
Dan Friedkin considering shock U-turn at AS Roma amid Everton takeover
Alan Myers recently shared a potential takeover date of the end of November, and things are ticking along nicely behind the scenes.
Dan Friedkin is already eyeing a reunion with Lina Souloukou, who was the former CEO at AS Roma, and the two of them have a good friendship.
According to AdnKronos (as per Romapress.net), Roma are considering re-hiring Daniele De Rossi.
It’s claimed that Dan and Ryan Friedkin are considering a sensational return of Daniele De Rossi, fired after the 1-1 draw in Genoa against Alberto Gilardino’s Genoa.
It is suggested that the return of De Rossi would be a ‘relaunch of the Friedkin’s commitment and the substantial admission of the error committed.
Sean Dyche’s future at Everton faces uncertainty
It’s a bit of a worry to see the Friedkin Group chopping and changing managers so easily, and even going back on their own decisions.
Sean Dyche’s poor first five games of the season may have forced the hand of the Dan and Ryan if they were in charge of Everton at that point, which would have proven to be premature.
Of course, a takeover is brilliant and much-needed for Everton. But with the criticism coming the Friedkin Group’s way from Claudio Ranieri and apparent rash decisions, let’s hope they tone it down.
It’s a waiting game now as we see how long it takes for the takeover process to conclude.
