Everton tipped to be unnamed club bidding £16.5m to sign PSV star Ricardo Pepi

Everton tipped to be unnamed club bidding £16.5m to sign PSV star Ricardo PepiEverton have been tipped as the Premier League club who’ve submitted a bid for PSV attacker Ricardo Pepi.

The Guardian and Forbes journalist James Nalton suggest the Blues could be the team that’s bidding for the USA international after Goal reported on 20 December an “unnamed” English top-flight club has offered £16.5million to PSV for his services.Replying to that report in a post on X, Nalton, who has also written for BBC Sport, mentioned the Toffees, saying: “Everton could do with a striker.”

Pepi has averaged around a goal an hour in the Eredivisie with PSV this season, scoring 10 goals in 636 minutes.

Pepi could solve Everton goalscoring woes

It is no secret that Dyche’s side have struggled to score this season, they have scored in just one of their last six league matches, the 4-0 victory over Wolves. The 21-year-old has 13 strikes in 33 appearances for the United States national team suggesting that he could find the net at the Premier League level.

It is no surprise that the Blues are being linked with attacking reinforcements, and Pepi might be the most promising link yet.
