Former Liverpool midfielder praises £23 million Mohamed Salah replacement.
Liverpool had a quiet summer transfer window this year. The Reds have now moved on and plan to get reinforcements in January.
January will be crucial for the English club as they’ll need to slowly start moving into a new era if current players leave. Both Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold’s contracts expire at the end of the season.
These players being detrimental to the current Liverpool squad have defined a whole generation at Anfield. With growing interest from Real Madrid for TAA following Dani Carvajal’s ACL injury, The Reds will have to start their search for replacements as early as possible.
The decision regarding both players is still uncertain. Salah and Arnold have not publicly stated their intentions and the extension talk remains under the shadows.
A replacement is still in search for Arnold but Liverpool have been eyeing a Salah replacement for a while now. Having previously shown interest in Karim Adeyemi, The Reds will probably pounce at a chance to have the Dortmund star this January.
German outlet Sports Bild had also stated that Liverpool have sent scouts to Germany for Adeyemi. There might still be scouts in Germany following Karim closely until the January transfer window strikes

This sits right with Liverpool’s vision of using him as a replacement for Mohamed Salah. Although things remain uncertain, the German footballer has definitely been one of the most promising youngsters to watch out for in Europe.
The 22-year-old has started 67% of Dortmund’s matches this season with a total of 10 goal contributions. His goal contributions are more than his appearances for the club this season which stands at eight.
With five goals and five assists, Karim Adeyemi has been on fire this season, to say the least. This goal threat sits right with Mohamed Salah’s style of play which constantly makes goalkeepers sweat.
The German international is starting to grow into his potential with most of his goals and assists for Dortmund coming this season in only single-digit appearances.
The scouts will play a major role in determining the youngster’s prospects at Anfield. If Arne Slot and Co. is happy, the club might go full throttle at the German in January.
