The Ohio State football program usually has multiple players playing in the Super Bowl every year. When you are as successful as they are, that’s usually what happens. The Buckeyes are one of the best programs in all of college football, and they produce top talent every year.

This year, there was only one Buckeye playing in the Super Bowl. In Super Bowl LXI, the only former Ohio State player in the game was Parris Campbell. Campbell plays for the Eagles, and he was hoping to finish off the season as a champion. He was able to do that, thanks to a dominating game from the Eagles.

Philly crushed the Chiefs 40-22, and the game wasn’t really even that close. It was the perfect end for them this season. While Campbell wasn’t much of a factor in this game, he becomes the next Ohio State Buckeye to win a Super Bowl ring thanks to his team.

Campbell has had a roller-coaster NFL career. After a stellar final season with the Ohio State Buckeyes, he was a second-round pick by the Indianapolis Colts. He had a rough time staying healthy, so he left after four years in Indy. Last season, he played with the Giants.

Following that, he ended up signing with the Eagles’ practice squad and was eventually elevated to the active roster. At one point in his career, Campbell considered retiring because of the injury issues that he had. Now, he’s a Super Bowl champion with the Philadelphia Eagles.

It’s unclear what will happen with Campbell’s NFL career moving forward. Perhaps he decides to try to sign with another team. If another team doesn’t want him, perhaps he retires. If he does end up retiring and moving on, it’s hard to beat going out a champion.

Hopefully, Campbell will be able to continue his career, and he can be a productive receiver. He didn’t get a lot of opportunities this season to produce. Now that he’s finally healthy, and a champion, perhaps he can start putting together some stats.
