There is no question Thursday’s heroics will have taken a lot out of the players although Sunday’s fixture should see the adrenaline kick in.
With regards personnel, it would be a surprise if Barry Ferguson picked the same starting line-up that took to the field against Fenerbahce. He needs to freshen things up and that could see Ridvan Yilmaz come into the backline. Jefte has been suspect defensively for several weeks now so the Turk would present a better option at left-back.
In the middle, Ianis Hagi could provide Rangers with the creative spark they’ll require if they want to end their long drought with a win. Connor Barron could be the player to make way.
In the forward line, ideally, you would rest Vaclav Cerny given his exertions in midweek but the Czech is Rangers’ best player and most threatening outlet so he may keep his place.
Danilo would be a good shout to lead the line given he never contributed on Thursday and his partnership with Cerny could prove fruitful.

The preparations for his first Old Firm game have been mixed for Barry Ferguson. He heads across the city on the back of a memorable and remarkable Europa League victory that will do wonders for the morale and confidence levels within his squad. Yet it is one that could have come at a physical cost for Rangers.
His selection will be made on fitness and freshness rather than form. If everyone is able to go again, picking the same side that started on Thursday night would make sense. The only switch in that scenario could be at left-back given the concerns over Jefte’s defensive capabilities.
