Everton have made a bright start to life under David Moyes with a healthy cushion on the relegation zone.
The weekend may have provided a disappointing defeat in the FA Cup against Bournemouth, but Everton have the chance to bounce back on Wednesday night.
In what will be the final Merseyside Derby at Goodison Park, the Toffees can pull 12 points clear of the bottom three with a win over Liverpool.
Moyes has made an excellent start to life back at Everton having won three of his opening four games in the Premier League.
However, it seems there is already one former Everton manager who is gunning for the hot seat on Merseyside.

“I would love to be the manager of Everton again. I know it looks a long way off, but that’s the dream. You have to keep your dreams alive, don’t you?” he told Jamie Carragher.

“I know what I need to do first; to get a job, have a bit of success, prove myself. But I’d still love it, even if it is five or 10 years from now. I love the club too much to give up that dream.”
Ironically, the Everton legend was speaking to Carragher who admitted he feared Ferguson during their playing days.
The 53-year-old has just departed his managerial role at Inverness with previous spells in the dugout as Everton’s caretaker manager under the days of Farhad Moshiri.

Ferguson knows what Everton fans want
Some Everton fans want Ferguson back as a striker coach with the Toffees having suffered some struggles in front of goal this season.
It is apparent the former Everton forward is looking to carry on collecting experience in managerial roles.
And he has cast his thoughts on what he would provide if he was back in the dugout as the Everton manager.
“To me, Everton will always be about a traditional big striker, wingers getting it in the box, full-backs bombing on forward to give you width – and a team of hard workers,” he added.
“I know the game changes and you have coaches with their own style of play, but the Evertonians will always want that strength and aggression.
